Union Dues are tax deductible!
COPE has one of the lowest dues payments in the province and it is a very small price to pay for what COPE will provide when representing you in your workplace!
Shouldn’t we all receive the same…
COPE Members receive retro-pay and are covered through the pay equity process.
Our members at LHSC have received a wage increase for every year.
If COPE members choose early retirement members can opt to pay the cost of single/group benefit premiums to remain on the LHSC benefit plan.
LHSC is constantly scaling back, making cuts or being reformed, make sure your rights are protected by a union contract.
Automated Registration, Scheduling and Payroll, and other services are going to be impacted by these technological changes. As well, budget cuts are happening. This will have a definite impact on LHSC and most likely reduce the clerical workforce required by the hospital. Our collective agreement has strong language to directly address technological change, layoff and better assist with job protection.
Healthcare workers are one of the most highly unionized fields in Ontario for a reason. Unions make their work safer, better and more fair.
Ask yourself if you could benefit from joining COPE Local 468 and then ask us how to make it happen.
