Educational workshops and training are available to all members without additional cost or lost wages.
We encourage our members to participate in education held by the Local Union and in any courses offered by COPE Ontario, the Ontario Federation of Labour, and Canadian Labour Congress and their affiliates. The following are some examples of available workshops:

- Introduction to COPE – Attain a better understanding of your rights as a member, COPE’s structure, and how to get involved with the Local.
- Contract Interpretation – Learn everything you need to know about your Collective Agreement.
- Managing Stress in the Workplace – Learn about stress and its impact on worker’s health, its signs and symptoms, methods for coping, strategies for dealing with workplace stress, and the Union’s role in assisting members.
- Workplace Violence, Harassment, and Bullying – This is a review of Bill 168 and 132, to understand terms and concepts, the general responsibilities of workplace parties (employers and coworkers), and the roles and responsibilities of the Joint Health and Safety Committee and your health and safety representative.
